You need to reduce the “bad” carbs you consume on a day to day basis if you want to reveal six-pack abs.
This is not the only thing you need to cut down on. You need to kick aside your unhealthy eating habits and your laziness. Start going to the gym so that you can have your six-pack sooner.
Now, you might ask, “How can I do that?”
Abs Are Made In The Kitchen
Do you believe that the better tasting the food, the more calories it has? Not necessarily. You can make healthy substitutes for your meals and it can still taste great. Food taste is all about programming your mind: this tastes good because it can help me achieve a better body. Stick to that mantra and you will soon realize that healthy eating can be delicious too.
Now, there are 5 high-carb foods that you need to stay away from at all costs. No sample tasting either. If you want to gets your abs in 6 months, you have to restrict yourself and say NO to these:
1. White Flour
It has no nutritional value whatsoever. One slice can provide 150 calories and this goes directly to your fat deposits. So, say no to cakes, white bread and muffins. Getting in peak shape involves some sacrifice.
You need to eat carbs every day but the healthiest source is brown rice or whole wheat flour. You can consume at most 11 servings of these carbs in one day. For brown rice, 1 serving is half a cup. For every major meal, eat at most 1 cup. 1 slice of whole wheat bread is 1 serving too so a sandwich equates to 2 servings… Corn and potato fall under this category as well. If you eat 1 medium cob, that is one serving. Half a cup of unsalted mashed potatoes is considered 1 serving too.
2. French Fries and Potato Chips
Kick it to the curb! It is one of the least nutritious foods every created. Why? Potato is a healthy snack if it is baked or broiled. But with French fries and potato chips dipped in trans fat oils and splashed with preservatives, it’s far from nutritious. If you can manage to stay away from it, put your foot down and stay away.
3. Corn Syrup High In Fructose
If you can take a hint, this means SODA DRINKS. These drinks are sinful if you want to have beautiful six-pack abs. You are advised not to consume white sugar right? Well, white sugar in water is better than soda.
Read the label before you drink or eat anything with corn syrup. It can be detrimental for your healthy eating goal. Corn syrup attacks the liver directly after consumption? Do yourself a favor and give these drinks a swerve.
4. Lean Cuisine – Frozen and Boxed
This is such an irony. There is no substitute for real and natural food. Anything wrapped, boxed and packaged which you can buy from the grocery and says LEAN DIET FOOD is a farce. Do not believe it. Anyway, why settle for a 2-minute boxed grilled chicken with tons of unknown seasoning when you can make your very own at home and include all the tastiest herbs you can find? Anything processed is bad for you.
5. Fast Food
This is the real deal. There is no healthy fast food chain anywhere in the world. Anything that comes pre-packaged and is served in minutes flat is not going to do you good. If time is of the essence, you can make 5-minute fast meals at home. It is simply not worth it to exercise so hard and then throw it all away with a burger and apple pie.
Now, why is there a need to control your carb intake? It is unnecessary to completely eliminate carbs from your diet. Carbs are essential in your day-to-day life because they act as fuel. Carbs provide you with energy which is especially critical during your workout for six-pack abs. So, a lack of carbs is unwise but an excess will form as fat and that even worse.

You must bear in mind that good carbs (whole wheat, oats, brown rice, veggies and fruits) are nutritious and needed.
You also have to remember that bad carbs (candy, soda and sports drinks) are the enemy. Eating sweet foods or oil is not prohibited. But, if you feel like something sweet, go natural with honey or sugar cane. If you choose oil, consume canola, coconut or olive oil but limited to 2 tablespoons each day.

There are also low-fat yogurts which will satisfy your craving. But, most importantly, eat a substantial amount of good carbs.
If you eat smartly, the carbs you consume will be burned effectively.
